  • Marek Jantos has been invited to present two scientific papers and a 2-day advanced workshop on Vulvodynia, at the University of Salzburg, in Austria. The meetings are organised by the Biofeedback Foundation of Europe and bring together experts from the United States and Europe to consider the latest developments in the treatment of a range of medical conditions using behavioural medical protocols.   • Latest Vulvodynia Study by Marek Jantos to be published in the Journal of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback. The publication is entitled Vulvodynia: A Psychophysiological Profile Based on Electromyographic Assessment. The study is based on an analysis of Electromyographic assessments of more the 500 patients and begins to examine potential mechanisms in chronic vulvar pain. Then study identifies protocols which can lead to very high success rates in therapy.
  • In 2007, Marek Jantos authored one of the largest retrospective patient reviews on vulvodynia, entitled, Vulvodynia: Development of a Psychosexual Profile. The study was published in the international medical journal, The Journal of Reproductive Medicine. The study is based on a sample of 744 patients and the findings conclusively showed for the very first time, the age related prevalence of vulvodynia, the age distribution of a clinical cohort of patients and the age of reported symptom onset. These findings highlighted the often early onset of pain and its adverse affects on emotional and sexual well-being of women. The study has been widely cited at recent international meetings.

  • At the First World Congress on Sexual Health, held in Sydney Australia, Marek Jantos gave two podium presentations on profiling the impact of vulvodynia on the life of sufferers and identifying factors which exacerbate this condition
